Red silk jacket. Garment is short in the body with wide sleeves and a small upright neck, closing on the right side and horizontally across the front of the shoulder. Fabric is red silk, heavily embroidered front and back with peony flowers, foliage, butterflies and birds, as well as linear decorations in blue, light green, white and pink at back of neck and around the arms. The jacket’s interior is lined with light green fabric, and padded. Sides at bottom and cuffs are edged in blue silk with black and green, and gold ribbons. Buttons are brass with a glass centre.
