Byzantine coin of Maurice Tiberius, 582-602. Obverse: bust of Maurice Tiberius, facing front; he wears a crown with cross and a cuirass; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to left, inscription is illegible; to right, it says ‘AVRICPPAV’. Reverse: large ‘I’; to left, ‘[A]NNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘I’; in exergue, ‘CAT’.
