Byzantine coin of Justinian I, 527-565. Obverse: bust of Justinian I, facing right; he wears a cuirass; to left and right, inscription says ‘DNIVSTINIANVS…PAVC’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, crescent opening upwards; to right, star; above, cross; beneath, ‘E’; in exergue, ‘ANTIX’.
