Shallow, circular husking basket woven from plant fibre; done with herringbone twill weave. Rim formed with two wood coils, wrapped in plant fibre; main body of basket secured between coils. Plant fibre wrappings dyed(?) a dark brown. Additional external and internal coils, undecorated, are underneath the wood rim, for reinforcement; held to rim with twisted cords. Body of basket is golden brown; internal coils are coloured red-brown, exterior coils are grey-brown.

Acquired by the donor when they lived in Tanzania and Uganda in the 1960s.
