MOA: University of British Columbia
3000/58 a-b
Single slipper lantern slide. A rectangular wooden frame holds a single, stationary glass plates (a moveable plate of similar size that would normally be part of this type of object is missing). The stationary plate shows a vibrantly coloured, printed image of a man dressed in blue, red and white with his foot on a small stool, one hand gripping his heel, and the opposite arm shown in two positions: one raised, the other falling, and holding an axe aimed at the foot. The frame has accommodations for a moving slide, with a large groove in the end of one side for the plate to move into, and a semi-circular finger hole at the edge. Inscription: "T. Pamphlet".
