Ceramic tile, square. On a light grey background, tile has an image in maroon of a biblical scene showing the beheading of John the Baptist. A man with a sword at his side holds a platter on which sits a head, standing over a prone body. The scene takes place in a prison with arched doorways to both sides of the figures. Reference “Mark 6:17” is written along the bottom of the scene. Image is surrounded by a circular border, and thistle motifs decorate the corners of the tile.
